Maydan Festival, Plein ’40-’45, Amsterdam NL
In the course of the situation in Ukraine we wanted to put the attention towards the people who are arriving in Amsterdam to escape the war and conflict regions in the world. People who come to Europe from conflict regions are mostly in need of housing, jobs and local connections. They are looking for possibilities to integrate and be able to live a normal life. Since the market on Plein 40'45' is a place for public exchange we developed a stall that was hosted together with people who have escaped the war. The people could to share their stories and needs and meet locals in an informal environment while cooking together and having a meal.
